Works with every sewing machine you have
The challenge
Garment factories operate with diverse machine fleets—equipment from different manufacturers, different decades, different technological generations all working side by side. Any monitoring solution that requires specific machine models or modern connectivity standards leaves gaps in visibility and creates deployment complexity.
Why it happens
Most industrial IoT solutions require machines with built-in sensors, standardized communication protocols, or recent manufacturing dates. Factories running reliable older equipment face a choice: replace perfectly functional machines for monitoring compatibility, or accept incomplete visibility across the production floor.
Our solution
OpenSeam doesn't integrate with your sewing machines—it observes them. Our seambit sensors detect needle activity through vibration and motion regardless of the machine's make, model, age, or manufacturer. We've deployed successfully on machines from the 1980s and machines from last year. The technology works because it measures the physical reality of sewing activity, not electrical signals or digital interfaces that vary by manufacturer.
The outcome
You gain complete floor visibility without equipment replacement or compatibility concerns. Every station gets monitored with the same fidelity regardless of machine age or type. Deployment planning becomes simple—count your stations, order that many seambits, install. There's no need to inventory machine models, check compatibility lists, or plan around equipment that "won't work." Your entire production floor becomes visible, not just the portion with compatible equipment.
How we deliver
To date, we haven't encountered an industrial sewing machine we couldn't monitor. The seambit's sensor-based approach means compatibility is inherent in the design rather than negotiated with each manufacturer. When you deploy OpenSeam, you deploy it everywhere—no exceptions, no gaps, no partial visibility. If you have stations we haven't seen before, we validate compatibility during your trial period. Our commitment is simple: if you use it for garment production, we can monitor it.
